A couple weeks ago, Jackson started complaining that his belly button hurt. After looking at it, we noticed it was red and stuff was coming out. We treated it for about a week and it was getting more painful for him and it was not getting better. We finally took him to the pediatrician, the one we had only been to once for a well visit. She dug down in there and took a look and said it wasn't just an ordinary infection. She referred us to a pediatric surgeon and we saw him the next day. He said that it could be a few possibilities but the only way he could know for sure was to do surgery. He had an opening the next day and we went ahead and took it. It turns out that his belly button never detached from his bladdar and they also removed a small hernia. Jackson was such a trooper and enjoyed all the attention he received at Medical City. He was so sad when he got to come home the same day. He was looking forward to spending the night in the hospital. He was so funny when they gave him the 'giggle' juice right before the surgery and started seeing people with four eyes and two mouths. It was cute. He enjoyed riding down to the lobby in a wheel chair and was sad that we didn't get to take it home with us. He is such a good boy and is now back to his old self.

What a trooper - I'm glad everything is a-ok!!
