We had a Thanksgiving to remember this year. For the first time we decided to not cook a huge traditional dinner. The plan was to go out to eat followed by a movie. It didn't quite happen that way. Luckily, some friends invited us over for an "early" Thanksgiving so we had that. The Wednesday before Thanksgiving, we brought down the Christmas decorations and the tree. We had a fun time decorating and getting ready for the festivities. Wednesday night we decided to hit our favorite pizza place and eat. That night, Juliana got sick with a stomach virus. We knew our Thanksgiving plans would have to be altered. Thursday morning, I got up and went to a couple of drug stores for sales and then, Gerrit and Jackson went out to eat and brought us some turkey back. We did see the movie on Friday and Jackson got sick on Saturday. Fun times.
Juliana and Jackson love decorating the tree. Every year I get each of them a new ornament that represents something they did that year or were into. They love to see what the new ornament is and also we all love to talk about the memories associated with the ornaments as we decorate the tree.
Our Charlie Brown Christmas tree. This is the last year we will use this tree. The funny thing is, at our last house, this tree looked really big.
Skittles and Cookie loved cuddling up under the tree. Even they could have Peace for Christmas.
