Trains At Northpark

Christmas Eve was a lot of fun for us. Gerrit did not have to go to work so we decided to head down into Dallas to Northpark Mall and see a train display we had heard a lot of good things about. We all had a lot of fun seeing the display, Jackson especially. Everything was so detailed and realistic. They had Mt. Rushmore, the old west, Dallas, New York, Mississippi, a Christmas scene, a circus and so much more. Jackson's favorite was seeing Thomas and James go by. We just kept walking around and noticing new things each time. Definitely worth the time!!!

Our two little engineers! All Aboard......
The Mt. Rushmore scene. Juliana and Jackson get so excited every time they see Mt. Rushmore since we went on vacation there. It's so fun!

This is a model of the mall the train display was in. It is so detailed and shows models of hospitals and stuff. There was even a model of Medical City Hospital which is where Jackson had his surgery earlier in the year.

The Old West...it was so hard to pull Jackson away from the displays to see other things. He could have stayed all day and not gotten bored.
Jackson watching for Thomas, here he comes.....

And....there he goes. We did this for a loooooooooooong time!

The Christmas scene. So pretty with New York in the background.

Scene of New York

They just think of every little detail. Juliana and Jackson really liked the McDonalds.

A School, all the little kids are playing on the playground and the swings were really moving.

This mall was on the upscale side. They had fountains and sculptures all over the place. There was an Armani store and several other high end stores. You kind of know you're out of your league when JC Penny, Sears and even Dillards are not the anchor stores of the mall.

A statue they really liked. After we finished eating lunch there was a string quartet playing music down by the statue. It was really pretty to listen to. I forgot to mention the Santa at this mall. He looked so real....Real beard, bald head, everything!!!!
